About Us

Free Congo is a collective of individuals collaborating to promote peace, equality, and justice while opposing racism, occupation, and colonization.United, we are the largest organization in Europe focused on advocating for human rights in the DRC.Free Congo unites individuals from diverse backgrounds to advocate for the rights and freedom of the Congolese people. We share the conviction that the disregard for international law by Rwanda and the global community, the ongoing military presence in Congolese land, and the persistent discrimination against Congolese people is intolerable; thus, we are acting collectively

We are challenging companies that benefit from the occupation, the international community that continues to avoid holding Rwanda accountable, and the media that fails to convey the truth. We are creating a large-scale movement for DRC in the UK, Europe, America, and Africa.

We have faith in the power of individuals. The greater our unity in standing together and advocating for justice and equality, the stronger our collective voice becomes. Together, we have the strength to challenge governments, corporations, and the media—and emerge victorious.

We believe a peaceful and just resolution to the decades of occupation and oppression is possible, one that upholds the rights and dignity of the Congolese people.

We believe that shifts within the International Community can influence change in the DRC. The occupation of Rwanda can persist only with the backing of the international community. The UK, as a crucial ally of Rwanda, is in a strong position to make a substantial impact.

We are convinced that collective action has the potential to alter the trajectory of history. Therefore, we are establishing a widespread movement for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds. Together, we are challenging our government, large corporations, and the media, asserting that occupation, violations of international law, and state-sponsored discrimination are intolerable.

A large group of people, mostly women, gather for a protest or demonstration. Many are holding signs with slogans and messages advocating for rights and against violence. The setting appears to be outdoors with some haze or smoke visible in the air.

Joining Free Congo has opened my eyes to the struggles of the Congolese and their resilience.

A group of people are gathered in a protest or rally, holding various signs with messages advocating for voting rights, democracy, and representation. Some of the signs read 'Fighting for the right to vote,' 'Freedom now,' 'We shall overcome,' and '1 million Mississippi Negroes deserve representation.' The crowd appears engaged and focused on the cause.
